![]() Charnos & Breast Cancer CareIn 2004 Charnos Hosiery established a partnership with the charity, Breast Cancer Care. Today 120 people will be told that they have breast cancer. Breast Cancer Care is there to offer dedicated support and information to people diagnosed with breast cancer and their families, 24 hours a day, through a wide range of free services. These include a confidential helpline, online chat forums, one-to-one support and practical services to help with the everyday effects of living with breast cancer. Over the past three years, with your help we have raised over £50,000 for Breast Cancer Care! The money raised by Charnos and you means that Breast Cancer Care can make a real difference to the lives of people living with a diagnosis of breast cancer, their friends and family. This year we need your help again to raise even more money for the charity and to beat the £50,000 mark. So, how can you help? This year, Charnos has declared Friday October 19th National Stockings Day, where Nicky Hambleton Jones and Charnos are encouraging women to put their best leg forward and wear stockings or hold-ups for the day, in support of Breast Cancer Care. Charnos has created pink ribbon lace top stocking and hold-ups that are being sold in aid of Breast Cancer Care. Now women across the country can step up and celebrate their own femininity in aid of the 44,000 people newly diagnosed with breast cancer every year. In addition to this for the third year running Charnos has been the hosiery sponsor of the annual Breast Cancer Care Fashion Show. The Fashion Show is the highlight of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and last year raised almost half a million pounds to ensure that the charity can continue to support people affected by breast cancer. Both the afternoon, which was hosted by GMTV’s Fiona Phillips, and evening Shows, hosted by Lisa Snowdon and David Walliams were attended by a number of the charity’s celebrity patrons, ambassadors such as Geri Halliwell, Cherie Blair, Claire Sweeney, Denise Lewis and Vanessa Feltz. |
